Call for Participants! Ad Venture Forum in Osaka: Making "Working in Venture" a New Research Career Option
Ltd. is pleased to announce that it will hold a career forum on June 29, 2024 (Saturday) in Osaka, following the one held in Tokyo, for young researchers, including master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral fellows, who are researching at universities and graduate schools, to recruit research personnel.
There are many graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who have a passion to "contribute to society through research" and work hard at their university research every day. Research and development-type ventures that aim to "develop and implement products that do not exist in the world in order to solve social issues" provide a place where they can fully demonstrate their abilities.
Ad Venture Forum is a place where graduate students and post-doctoral fellows meet venture companies under the theme of "Discovering New Opportunities for Researchers". In the booth sessions, we have prepared mechanisms for both company managers and employees and participants to freely discuss "future research themes and issues" and "what we want to contribute to society. Please come and take this opportunity to discover how to make the most of research that is not bound by stereotypes, new ways of working, and new ways of living.

Until I learned about entrepreneurship, I myself had never thought that there was a way to connect basic research to social implementation. I strongly felt that continuing my research as a company was the best way to directly attack solving social issues, so I decided to start my own business. Of course it is necessary to learn business and management, but the appeal of a venture company is that you can take on the challenge of research and development with a big vision.

When I began my job search, I had only an image of a major company as a job that would have an impact on society, but after actually seeing a variety of venture companies, I changed my mind. Venture companies do not have the abundance of know-how and assets that large companies have, but the experience of creating the core of the company by myself, including the organizational systems and product commercialization process, is an attractive aspect of the job that I have newly discovered for myself. I was fortunate to have met people who were serious about going from research to social implementation.
