【Add Venture Forum 開催報告】2024年11月10日(日)にアド・ベンチャーフォーラム in 東京を開催しました。

Ad Venture Forum in Tokyo" was held in Sumida-ku, Tokyo on November 10, 2024. 12 venture companies and 44 doctoral, master's and other students participated. The booth sessions for each company were followed by heated discussions.

During the opening ceremony, in addition to the greeting by the organizer, there was a short seminar on "QPMI Cycle" to make your 1min self-introduction powerful, QP presentations by each company, and an explanation of the Ad-Venture Scholarship. Tomoko Tachibana, General Manager of the Human Resource Development Division of Liverness Corporation, gave the organizer's greeting, explaining her thoughts on the term "Ad Venture" and what she hoped the event would set in motion.

In the short seminar, participants actually verbalized their own Question and Passion (QP) and introduced themselves to the person next to them whom they were meeting for the first time today.

After the students' QPs were verbalized, each participating company gave a QP presentation. Each company gave a passionate one-minute presentation about their vision and what they wanted to discuss with the participating students.

Then, during the booth session, the main program, the participants and researchers/managers from each company engaged in such intense communication that the 30-minute booth session was not enough time to see what they could do by combining their passions and knowledge, and what kind of friends they could make.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the launch of our newAd Venture ScholarshipIn the "Mutual Collaboration" program, participating companies and students who attended the event will have booth sessions to freely discuss "joint research, development, and demonstration experiments that take advantage of each other's strengths," "activities to gather colleagues from different fields," and "what you can contribute to society by using your knowledge," and the scholarship system will support activity expenses to realize the ideas that are generated. The scholarship program supports the cost of activities to realize the ideas that are born. After the booth exchange, students who wished to apply for the scholarship were asked to make a one-minute declaration of what they would like to do with the participating companies and what they would definitely do. On the day of the event, 12 applications were received and pitches were made. The students will now work with the companies to create a plan to realize what they have declared.

Participant's Voice

  • I felt the passion for making a difference in the world.
  • It was good to be exposed to a realistic sense of the actual issues. It helped me understand that we need support to be able to take a step forward.
  • I was able to realize that ventures cannot be accomplished by one person alone and that activities that are useful to society can be done through collaboration with others.
  • Knowing that both people from companies and doctoral students share some of the same feelings in their research made me feel closer to them than ever before.
  • It was a very meaningful time for students who are doing research in various fields to discuss how they can apply their fields of expertise to social issues.
  • I learned the importance of having an interest in other fields.
  • I learned not to be afraid of failure and to be willing to try anything.
  • I thought it would lead to the development of my research to broaden my perspective by looking at research in other fields to avoid narrowing my viewpoint by sticking to my specialized field.
