In the second session, Shinozawa, Executive Officer of LIVERNESS, and Mizuguchi, Director and CFO of Metagen, spoke on the topic of "Contribution to the Earth that cannot be made by large corporations, but can be made only by venture companies.

Shinozawa talked about his own experience of first jumping into a venture company after his internship at RIVERNESS and then returning to RIVERNESS and being involved in the establishment of several venture companies. He told the participants about the appeal of a venture company.

Mr. Mizuguchi founded Metagen when he was a student after meeting a researcher who was a founding member of the company. While balancing research and business, he obtained a doctorate degree and has been pursuing his business with the vision of "aiming for a world with zero disease" up to the present. In his speech, based on his experience, he told the participants that it is difficult to aim alone even if you have a vision, and that he has felt that meeting friends and supporters can be created by acting with passion and enthusiasm, and that it is only in a venture business that you can boldly take on challenges without being bound by existing concepts.

During the Q&A session, Mr. Mizuguchi shared his experiences on how the vision was formed and the trials and errors of realizing the vision while making a profit as a venture company.
