Osaka explained several case studies based on his own experiences of how he has promoted product development and commercialization based on technology by getting involved with venture companies before and immediately after their establishment. Among other things, he told the participants the importance of exposing themselves, learning from the ground up, doing their own hands and feet, and gathering a team as actions to take when encountering technology.

Mr. Yanagisawa, a doctoral student at CellFiber, joined CellFiber in 2018 after considering what he could do, what he wanted to do, and what was needed from the three perspectives of what he could do, what he wanted to do, and what was needed. While his interest in cellular fiber technology was the trigger for his involvement, it was not a field that he was in the middle of, so he changed his way of thinking and used his strength in a different field to commercialize the technology through a trial-and-error process. While the technology itself was highly evaluated, he told the participants how he had opened up the way with a researcher's way of thinking when asked by companies and investors to explain specific milestones until commercialization, necessary funds, and so on.

During the Q&A session, Mr. Yanagisawa shared his experience on how to think about a situation where the technology is interesting but the business potential is unknown, and how to collaborate with researchers before building it into a business.
