The kick-off event began with a special lecture1 by Yukihiro Maru, Group CEO and Representative Director of LIVERNESS Corporation, entitled "Businesses that change the world in the new era are born from the 'passion' of just one person. Here, he shared with the participants the importance of personal Question and Passion, based on his experience in founding more than 70 companies he has been involved in.

This was followed by a 1min pitch by all participants to deepen mutual understanding by declaring about each participant's question and passion.

In Special Lecture 2, Ikegami, Director and CFO of RIVANESS, conveyed the importance of "followership" as a companion in an early stage deep-tech venture, based on his own experience of founding RIVANESS through his involvement in the company.

In the Team Formation Challenge, the main program of this year's event, discussions were held among participants who wanted to talk to each other after listening to the 1min pitch. Communicators from RIVERNESS joined together and had a lively discussion about mutual understanding and visions, which resulted in many people wanting to participate in the next and subsequent sessions.

From the next meeting onward, we will move on to specific discussions on the theme of setting issues to be solved and target areas for commercialization.
