Agrodesign Studio, Inc., a company that creates safe and secure agriculture and food with pesticides whose mechanisms of action are well understood, has been selected to participate in this forum. Students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and others who wish to take on the challenge of world-changing research and development are welcome to attend the Ad Venture Forum, where you can interact with the company.

Development of new molecularly targeted agrochemicals that clarify the scientific evidence for agrochemicals

Agrodesign Studio is an agrochemical venture that uses a unique agrochemical development process based on bioscience technology to research and develop agrochemicals that are both safe and effective. The conventional agrochemical development process is based on a "bukkake search" method, in which a compound synthesized as an agrochemical candidate is actually used, and only substances that show efficacy on as many targets as possible are selected. By bringing in structural biology that utilizes protein 3D structural information, which has been used in human drug discovery, we aim to create highly safe agrochemicals that contribute to food safety and stable supply.

So far, we have received the Excellence Award at the Nippon Foundation Social Innovation Award in 2019 and the Early Edge Award at the University Venture Award 2020 in 2020. We have also been selected for the NEDP NEP/ STS/ STS2, JST A-STEP (full-scale industry-academia collaboration), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries University Venture Promotion Program, and have received a total research budget of over 900 million yen, and are working daily to research and develop new agrochemicals.
