微生物多様性によって健康で持続性のある暮らしをつくる株式会社BIOTAが、アド・ベンチャーフォーラム東京に参加決定!

Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of a new career forum for young researchers, such as master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral researchers working at universities and graduate schools, called "REVANES, Inc.Ad Venture Forum Tokyowill be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025. BIOTA Corporation, which creates healthy and sustainable lifestyles through microbial diversity, has been selected to participate in this forum. Students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and others who wish to take on the challenge of world-changing research and development are welcome to attend the Ad Venture Forum, where you can interact with the company.

Creating healthy and sustainable lifestyles by increasing "microbial diversity" in living spaces

BIOTA is a venture to create cities where people can live healthy and secure lives by increasing the diversity of microorganisms in urban areas using cutting-edge bioinformatics technology, a database of microorganisms in living environments around the world, and unique evaluation indices for each space. For example, it is widely known that when the diversity of certain microorganisms in human skin and intestines is impaired by proliferation or decrease, diseases are more likely to occur. In fact, the same is true in cities. When infectious disease-causing bacteria enter a space that has been excessively sanitized and sterilized, there is a risk that they will multiply explosively and cause outbreaks of infection because there is no competition for them. Urban environments are healthier when a diverse range of microorganisms are gathered together rather than when only certain microorganisms are unevenly distributed, and microbial diversity is thought to have significance in improving public health.

BIOTA has conducted numerous microbiological studies, including joint research with companies interested in microbial diversity and joint research with universities on "analysis of the bacterial flora in the environment, animals, and human society," as well as cultural development, such as the construction of a mycelial dome in the Panasonic Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai Expo and cooperation with the permanent exhibition "The World is Full of Microbes" at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. We are also making efforts to foster culture, for example, by cooperating in the exhibition "The World is Full of Microbes" at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan).

Venture companies that create new industries that change conventional concepts require not only the development of solutions, but also a wide variety of "research and development" in areas such as education and human resource development. Regardless of your background, if you are interested in taking on the challenge of world-changing R&D, please join us at the Adventure Forum.

【【Who you want to be a part of]

We are looking for people who love research, people who love microorganisms, people who are interested in creating a life and community in harmony with microorganisms, and people who are interested in fostering a culture toward the social implementation of technology.

【【Discussion Topics]

Let's think about a new way of urbanization with microbial diversity as a keyword. The following is a list of the most common problems with the "C" in the "C" column.

BIOTA's microbiome analysis enables comprehensive analysis of the composition and characteristics of microorganisms in the environment, and is beginning to elucidate the functions and properties of microbial communities that could not previously be visualized. However, it is not easy to communicate the functions of invisible microorganisms to non-researchers. We invite you to join us in thinking about new ways to interact with microorganisms and sustainable urban design.
