Due to the aging of farmers and environmental problems, crops that are difficult to grow may disappear from our food culture in the future. For example, the production of wasabi, which has deep ties to Japan's traditional food culture, is in a critical situation. Under the theme of "Creating a food ecosystem," we aim to develop an environment in which anyone can grow wasabi by combining the wasabi cultivation techniques that farmers have cultivated over the years with technology.

In 2023, the company launched the Shizuoka R&D Center, a research and development center for the realization of automated wasabi cultivation, and began developing a containerized wasabi cultivation module; in January 2025, the company began online sales of hydroponically grown wasabi leaf stalks indoors under artificial light.
