Hundred Semiconductors and Mr. Satoru Ayuzawa of Nagoya University started a joint project!

【共同研究・連携事例】Hundred Semiconductorsと名古屋大学鮎澤颯さんとの共同プロジェクト開始!

We are pleased to announce that we have decided on the adopted themes from the ad-venture scholarships for which applications were received at the ad-venture forum held in April 2025.

Theme: Basic study of transport technology utilizing magnetic screw linear motion mechanism in minimal fabs

Company: Hundred Semiconductors Inc.

Researcher: Mr. S. Ayuzawa, Nagoya University

Below are the scholarship applications from students

Details of Cooperation

Currently, "minimal fabs" are attracting attention as a next-generation manufacturing platform suitable for high-mix, low-volume production of semiconductors. In the transfer mechanism in the equipment, it is still a technical challenge to achieve both high accuracy and low cost transfer in a clean environment. In this activity, we will focus on the "magnetic screw," a non-contact linear motion mechanism, and examine its applicability in the minimal fab environment.

Reason for Application

The applicant is keenly aware of the importance of applying the findings obtained through his research activities to the real world. Through dialogue with company officials at the Ad-Venture Forum, the applicant has realized the current situation in which continuous technological innovation is required for minimal fabs, and hopes to contribute to their development by applying the magnetic screw technology that he has been working on.

Vision for the future

We would like to establish non-contact transfer technology using magnetic screws as a fundamental technology for minimal fabs that support high-mix low-volume production, and contribute to its widespread use and social implementation through innovation of in-equipment transfer.
