Kyoto Deep Tech Commercialization Support Project "Deep Tech Start-up Seminar" was held on August 30

on Saturday, August 30, 2025, to create an R&D-oriented venture that aims to solve social issues, "Kyoto Deep Tech Commercialization Support ProjectThe first Deep Tech Founding Seminar was held as part of the "Deep Tech Founding Seminar.

　The guest speaker, Mr. Toshiki Kazeoka, President of Endofight, Inc., spoke about the characteristics of startups and the environment surrounding university-launched ventures, and also introduced his own experience of starting a business and the specific process of gathering friends. He also shared his own experience of starting up a business and the specific process of gathering colleagues. His message was persuasive from a front-line perspective: "It is extremely important to build a team while sharing the same goal image during the start-up period" in a start-up business where all three parties are growing in different ways.

The "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Development Program" to be implemented by the Kyoto City Deep Tech Commercialization Support Project starting in October 2025 is a program to learn about "deep tech startups" that use science and technology to solve unsolved global problems and to think about business ideas. By combining the passion and ideas of entrepreneurs who aspire to create businesses with the superior technological seeds of universities based in Kyoto City, highly innovative businesses that can be developed globally will be created. This seminar is a program for those interested in business creation in collaboration with researchers. Those who participate in this seminar and have an interest in this program are eligible to participate in the "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Development Program".

Hasegawa explained the features of the program and how it will proceed, and introduced the researchers with deep tech skills who are scheduled to participate in the program.
