CULTA, Inc. will participate in the project, which aims to change the industrial structure of global agriculture with "next-generation varieties" that can overcome climate change!

気候変動に打ち勝つ「次世代品種」でグローバル農業の産業構造を変えることに挑む、株式会社CULTAが参加決定!

LIVERNESS Corporation is pleased to announce that "Ad Venture Forum Tokyo," a career forum for R&D ventures, will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, for young researchers, including master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral researchers working at universities and graduate schools, to recruit research personnel. CULTA, an agricultural start-up company that aims to create a new agricultural system to overcome climate change with "next-generation varieties" developed through high-speed breeding technology at its core, has been selected to participate in this forum. CULTA is taking on the challenge of building a new model of agriculture together with farmers.

This is an excellent opportunity for agricultural, plant, and life science researchers, as well as those who want to consider a career in climate change, solving food problems, and agri-tech/food tech, to learn about the challenges and issues at the forefront of the field and to envision together. We look forward to seeing you there.

How to update agriculture in the era of climate change with "next generation varieties"?

Due to the accelerating effects of climate change, conventional varieties and cultivation methods are no longer viable in many parts of the world. Global agriculture is now at a major turning point.

CULTA aims to develop "next-generation varieties" that are resistant to environmental stresses such as temperature and disease through high-speed breeding technology, and to work with growers to create a new agricultural system with these varieties at its core. The first challenge is to develop varieties and cultivation models for strawberries that can be produced sustainably in the hot and humid environment of Southeast Asia. We are taking on the challenge of changing the very structure of the global agriculture industry, not only in terms of variety development, but also in terms of collaboration with local producers and supply chain design.

Furthermore, CULTA is working on the creation of a "vertically integrated" model that does not simply produce "good seeds" and call it a day. We are refining our model by examining in the field what kind of varieties, what kind of cultivation, and what kind of sales methods are compatible with sustainable agriculture and business even in the age of climate change, taking into account the profitability of producers, workload, and the needs of the consumption areas. CULTA's goal is to incorporate the technology developed in the laboratory into a "system that can continue to be used in the field. CULTA

Through these efforts, CULTA aims to implement a "system" in society that will allow agriculture to continue regardless of climate change, and to leave a sustainable food and agricultural foundation for future generations.

We are looking for colleagues who want to take on the challenge from high-speed breeding to the field in one fell swoop.

CULTA is working with producers to create a new agricultural model for the era of climate change. CULTA's mission is to incorporate the knowledge and technologies developed in the laboratory into the design of actual farms and supply chains, and to work with producers to create the "next farming system.

To achieve this, we need people with a variety of expertise, not limited to agricultural and life science backgrounds such as crop science, plant physiology, and genetic breeding, but also in data science, engineering, business development, and international cooperation.

We are committed to creating the "next normal" in Southeast Asia and other global markets through a process of trial and error by visiting the field and discussing with producers. We look forward to meeting people who enjoy the process itself and want to move back and forth between research and the field, science and business.

Who you want to be a part of

People who are serious about facing the challenges of food and agriculture and who are excited about working with producers in Southeast Asia and other countries to create a new model of agriculture.

People who want to take on the challenges of unanswerable questions, moving back and forth between research and business, the field and technology.

Discussion Topics

What is the "next generation breed" required in a world of changing climates and values?

In the world of the future, not only climate change, but also consumer values and the nature of society itself will change dramatically, including food safety, health consciousness, sustainability, and local culture. In addition to climate change, consumer values and the nature of society itself will change dramatically, including food safety, health consciousness, sustainability, and local culture. Not only strawberries, but also rice, vegetables, fruit trees, forage crops, and crops that have not received much attention up to now, we will work together with you to draw up a plan of what kind of crops and varieties will support the next generation, starting from your field of interest and taking into account changes in climate, society, and consumers.
