Kyoto Deep Tech.Commercialization Support Project

This is a program to learn about "deep tech startups" that use science and technology to solve the world's unsolved problems and to think about business ideas. By combining the passion and ideas of entrepreneurs who aspire to create businesses with the superior technological seeds of Kyoto-based universities, we will create highly innovative businesses that can be deployed globally.

<What is Deep Tech?
Technology based on scientific discoveries obtained through research in a specific natural science field that has the potential to have an impact on society, such as solving economic and social issues that need to be solved in the country or the world as a whole.

FEATURES

  1. 01 Research seeds and entrepreneurial candidates are discovered through collaboration with universities and research institutes in the Kyoto area and recruitment agencies specializing in start-up applicants.
  2. 02 The "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Development Program," which focuses not only on commercialization methodology but also on fostering a venture mindset.
  3. 03 Effective matching of researchers and potential entrepreneurs through co-creation through the "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Development Program.
  4. 04 Continued support after the program ends. Seed funding is also provided in collaboration with the Liverness Group, which manages the program, and CVC, an operating company.

    Entrepreneur Candidates: 30 participants will be selected from the seminar participants through a document screening process.

    Business concept and mind-building

    Form a team with a researcher who has seeds in the "Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Development Program," a total of six sessions, to discuss commercialization and entrepreneurship, and develop a business plan.
  4. マッチング

    Matching

    Liberace communicators will accompany you and form a team for commercialization.
  5. 会社設立へ

    Go to Incorporation

    After the program ends, we will continue to provide support for company formation. Teams with promising business plans are also provided with investment after the company is established.

  • Venture Mind Education" aimed at aligning the mindsets of both researchers and potential entrepreneurs.
  • Opportunities for individual dialogue between researchers and potential entrepreneurs will be actively provided before and after each program.
  • In order to identify potential entrepreneurs with whom we can work together through trial and error, we will conduct a "co-creation seminar" to conduct a POC, which will be the first step toward commercialization.
  • Lecturers, seminar directors, and communicators will be applicants who have discovered and nurtured more than 3,000 university seeds and university startups.
  • A deep tech startup executive will be invited as a guest speaker to provide a case study in a close case study.
